The manner in which Fiona has sought to emulate her sister is a sure testament to the old adage that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Fiona has always followed in Erin's footsteps, first to an English and History degree at the University of Toronto, and then to a Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall. Erin uses her skills as a lawyer to advocate for tenant's rights at the CCHR.

Hunter and Sean have been friends since kindergarten. Ever since then they have been on many adventures together through the years. They share a love of skiing, back-country canoe tripping, and fantasy books. Hunter is up for any adventure, even camping in -30 degrees. He is an engineer for AMD, and a fantastic Dungeon Master.

Fiona and Maddie met in 2018. The bonded through many games of Dungeons and Dragons and craft nights with the girls (and Chris). Extremely kind and generous, Maddie is also a fierce competitor, the kind of person you want on your Spikeball team, but not next to you in stack cup. She is a mechanical engineer at FVB Energy Inc.

Josh and Sean became great friends at Sheridan College where they made many student films together as a dynamic Director-Cinematographer team. Their mutual love of movies formed the basis of a beautiful friendship. Josh is an up-and-coming director with his own digital media and marketing company.

Lisa and Fiona met in Kindergarten Class at O.M. Mackillop Public School. They have been close friends ever since, bonding over their childhood enthusiasm for Webkins, middle school love of terrible horror movies, and high school obsession with Doctor Who. Lisa is an extremely talented photographer.

Martin and Sean met in high school where they were both specialist vocal music students. Their friendship grew through many choir rehearsals and school music trips. Martin and Sean have a tradition of seeing movies together that nobody else is in interested in; their loss!

Fiona first met Sean's sister Elise on a Nicholas family camping trip to Tobermory. They have since enjoyed many more camping, canoeing and skiing trips where Elise has out-skiied everyone. She is a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University. Fiona is very excited to join Elise's family as her sister-in -law.

Chris and Sean met when our matchmaker found a match of her own. They soon became life-long friends, bonding through their shared love of the Toronto Maple Leafs and teasing Emily. Chris is a real estate appraiser and certified board game convert.

Melissa has been Fiona's best friend since before either of them can remember. Growing up, they spent nearly every weekend together committing each Harry Potter movie to memory. As children, Fiona taught Melissa to ride a bike. As adults, Melissa continues to teach Fiona about how to be a loving and supportive friend, even when separated by an entire country. Melissa works as an emergency room nurse in Burnaby.

Gareth and Sean met first met at Arts Camp in grade 8, where they were in the same cabin group. They then attended the same high school the next year where they cemented a lasting friendship. They share a love of the outdoors and photography. Gareth is an engineer at Boston Scientific, and a budding 35mm film photographer.

Emily and Fiona met on their first day of high school. Bonding over a shared love of musicals, they soon became an inseparable unit mistaken for twins on multiple occasions. Without Emily and her not-so-gentle encouragement that Sean ask Fiona out, there would be no wedding to celebrate. Emily is a English teacher at St. Anne's School.

Gaelen is Sean's cousin and life-long friend. Growing up, they shared a love of Lego, music and visual arts. Sean even helped produce a music video for Gaelen's band in college. They have been on many family camping adventures together, and look forward to many more in the future! Gaelen is a music teacher in British Colombia.

The youngest member of our wedding party and certified Youth Liaison, Sophie was only 10 years old when she and Fiona first met. The younger sister of Emily, the trio spent many summers together at the Williams’ family cottage, swimming, canoeing (pictured above) and watching scary movies. Sophie is a talented writer and recent graduate from the University of Toronto Victoria College.

Andrew and Sean met through his relationship with Erin. They became fast friends, bonding over their shared board games, music and adventuring in the outdoors. Andrew is a PhD candidate in medical physics at Toronto Metropolitan University.
